About me

I’m Laura, an EFL trainer and materials writer, who’s worked in Ireland, USA, Spain and Germany. I spent 7 years as the head of the English department at a large language school, where I developed an interest in teacher training. I went on to complete a Masters in Education: Leadership and Management with the Open University. This was a fantastic experience and being an online course, it gave me an insight into how technology can transform education.

The EdTech bug had bitten me. So much so,  a few years later I decided to delve deeper into the field and in 2017 I completed an MA in Education, Technology and Learning, from Leeds University.

Today I teach English/ Business English to university students and adults, am involved in test development, and lead workshops on a variety of topics related to teaching, testing and education technology for language learning.
